OnePercent is built on a simple principle: Signal over Noise. We strictly collect the signal (data needed for your training) and ignore the noise (tracking, ads, personal identifiers).

Garmin Developer Compliance Statement

For users connecting via the Garmin Connect Developer Program, we explicitly affirm:

We do not use Garmin Health data for advertising, marketing, or user profiling.
We do not transfer Garmin Health data to data brokers or unauthorized third parties.
We do not store Garmin Health data longer than necessary to generate the daily training recommendation.

1. The Use Case (Why we need access)

OnePercent is an adaptive training coach. We request access to two specific Garmin API modules:

A. Health API (Read Access)

We read your health metrics to adapt the plan to your body's readiness:

Dailies (Sleep, Stress, Body Battery): Used to calculate a "readiness score". If your Body Battery is low, we reduce volume. If high, we increase intensity.
Activities: Used to track adherence (did you do the workout?) and prevent overtraining.

B. Training API (Write Access)

We write data to your account to deliver the plan:

Publish Workouts: We automatically upload the generated structured workout (e.g., "5x10 Pushups") to your Garmin Connect calendar. This allows you to start the activity directly from your watch without manual programming.

2. Data Minimization & Retention

We practice strict data minimization. We are not a data warehouse.

Training Logs: Retained for 2 years, then automatically deleted.
Health Metrics: Processed in real-time and ephemeral. We do not store raw minute-by-minute health data.
Account Data: Deleted within 30 days of an account closure request.

3. Garmin Connect Data

Your health and activity data is accessed through the Garmin Connect Developer Program. By connecting your Garmin account, you agree to Garmin's privacy practices as described in the Garmin Connect Privacy Policy.

You can revoke OnePercent's access to your Garmin data at any time through:

Garmin Connect App → Settings → Connected Apps → OnePercent → Disconnect

4. AI Processing Consent

OnePercent uses AI (OpenAI GPT-4) to generate personalized workout recommendations from your recovery metrics.

Your Consent: By using OnePercent, you consent to this AI processing of your anonymized metrics.
Withdrawal: To withdraw consent, email hello@optimaized.io with the subject "Disable AI Processing". We will switch your account to standard rule-based recommendations.

5. User Control & GDPR

OnePercent is operated by OptimAIzed, based in Norway. We comply with GDPR standards for all users worldwide.

Right to Revoke: You can disconnect OnePercent from your Garmin account at any time.
Right to Erase: Email hello@optimaized.io with your Device ID to request full deletion of your training history.
No Shadow Profiles: We do not link your Garmin data to social media profiles, email marketing lists, or advertising IDs.
